The pride in craftsmanship. You were appreciated for your work. Time was available to do the best job , not like it is today , do it faster and cheaper. So for me when I look at the pieces from the past and use it to create today, I want to pay homage to the artist of the past. To do right by them. to pay my respect to my grandparents and parents. They came to this country from Ireland during the famine looking for a better life. They always taught me to work hard , and practice to achieve the very best you could be. My grandmother was a knitter. I would watch her for hours as she created the beauty from her hands for all of us to ware. My Mom would sew all my beautiful clothes by hand, and taught me about fine fabrics and quality of workmanship. So for me this is important to continue, but also to look at how the past has shaped the designs of the future. I hope you will enjoy my journey this year as we take these steps together . A porthole to yesterday and a window to tomorrow. With this I hope you will learn to know me Pj Bundy The artist and designer. I look forward to knowing all of my readers as well and sharing stories.
